Some people were talking about this mouthpiece ...
... I definitely do not. Altsax Selmer SAII and Reference 54: The part sounds far too shrill, you expect a full-bodied sound, a Tullamore Dew, a Johnny Walker Black, or at least a ballantine (the blissful amber should always have a bottle on the desk or piano ...) What happens there, no matter which sheet on it, is a 5EUR-Vodka, which is at best suitable for window cleaning. But maybe the V16A7 can spread a rather muted sounding horn into the scale, who knows. My judgment is to be viewed as a SUBJECTIVE. Remember, you are the measure of these things. You must be convinced of what you put on your horn (not me, hehe)!
In any case, the part is PERFECTLY processed and perhaps it is just the right thing for you. I have kept it all the same and not returned within the 30 days, it could be that everything suddenly changes. Panta Rei. In the meantime Meyer G4 - 7 sounds fantastic (especially on the SAII) with a Rico Select Jazz 3S or 3M, but with the disadvantage that many octaves are too large, ie: the upper register is tendentially too high, the lower is too low Rather at Reference 54). First attempts with the Selmer Super Session E are promising. It sounds better, the sound is not ending ... ;-)
