I tried this Aluminium wound E string and was very disappointed. This E string is almost as thick as an A string and muted my G string. It is lacking sweetness and also negatively impacted my G string. I you still want to try an Aluminium E string, better go for the much thinner Kaplan non whistling E string. Anyways, I most like the Pirastro Gold E string.
