Tape cartridge adjustment required right after unboxing
It was meant as a birthday present for my son. He plays guitars.
After he has unboxed the unit, there was almost no wet signal present. Went to the product page at Thomann and started the chat. After just one forwarding in conversation, I got an expert on chat and we fixed it together. Thanks Thomann.
I was brave enough to open the cartridge cover to realise that head was not adjusted as it should be.
With this pedal-instrument you achieve a unique sound of tape echo. You may compare it to the digital or bbd siblings, but it is likely just more inspiring and, it adds a probability game to your play.

Lofi lovely box!
I love the vibes of a true analog tape echo!
It's quite noisy in the studio/room when it's working. That makes +1 for an instant lo-fi atmosphere. Love saturation control!
Tap tempo is not quite intuitive b/c of how short and long ranges work with it. And I am definitely missing MIDI sync, which would make this box just perfect for me! I wish for a stereo unit with balanced inputs/outputs and midi sync. Santa, please!
Kill dry works well, although as it's a delay you'll have some gap between input and output signal (you can always adjust it in your daw/sampler though as needed).
Overall I'm quite happy with it.
