If you're in the market for a well-built precision bass, this might be well worth considering.
Firstly, it has been aged to perfection, in a really organic fashion, almost like it's been under decades of wear, so the sound is resonant and full, even when it isn't plugged in.
Sound wise, it's not exactly a p bass sound, but you can get there quite simply by adjusting your playing style, putting on some flats and rolling off volume and tone a little bit. The sound is definitely more hi-fi than a Fender precision bass, and the neck and radius is also definitely it's own thing. However, it's lighter, is made to very high standards and is probably the most versatile bass in my modest collection. Would recommend this as a one and done or a daily driver with all the features of a custom shop (besides the hard case and Fender brand) but for less than an American Professional/Vintage.
Definitely gonna pick me another.
My only gripe is that Sandberg doesn't reveal too much about their guitars, the construction method or anything under the hood, and I wish they would take more time to do that for a discerning customer.
