Not my cup of tea
See it a lot at live gigs. Tried it for our church (also a live gig), but the tone is flat. Not much body. It is a durable one, but that's all for me.

Very punchy sound while still retaining the drum's natural overtones. (to some extent at least...)
Used it on an early 70's 12" tom, sounds very good and very balanced.
