Doesn't work properly

I bought it thinking it would work better than the old one I used to have but was disappointed with how hard this tools is too handle. I may not be using it right, but I ended up cutting through the shield more than once and have to waste piece of cable.

Invaluable tool. I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without owning one of theses. Use it every time I’m soldering anything or wiring plugs, light fittings etc. It’s very intuitive to gauge the cable sizes and there’s numbers beside to help if you know the cable sizes
