Bei der Verwendung von schweren Mikros (Grossmembran Kondensatoren) ist es sehr hilfreich ein kleines Gegengewicht zu verwenden, denn es nutzt einem leider wenig, wenn sich das teure Mikro während der Aufnahme langsam immer weiter nach unten schiebt und der teure Sound durch die falsche Platzierung plötzlich wie aus dem Eimer klingt. Natürlich KANN man als Gegengewicht auch eine Tüte mit Steinen an das Stativ hängen, macht halt nicht unbedingt den professionellsten Eindruck (besonders wenn sie sich löst und einem auf die Füsse fällt) Das Manfrotto macht einen stabilen und soliden Eindruck, sollte ein ganzes Berufsleben halten. Einzig die orangene ZDF Farbgebung könnte ausserhalb von Mainz negativ bewertet werden.
