Uniquely stylish one-handed mic stand

The K&M 26200 Elegance is a vocal microphone stand built around a single, simple design idea: Height adjustment that works with one hand, without tools, and thus without interrupting the performance. Its trilobular aluminium tubes – a rounded triangular profile unique to the Elegance series – give the stand its distinctive silhouette and a more tactile grip than a standard round tube, making it comfortable to carry and reposition. The steel round base is fitted with a rubber profile ring that dampens footfall noise while also protecting the floor's surface. The 3/8" captive knurled screw at the top threads directly into standard mic clips.

Enjoy the silence

The Elegance's lever-operated height adjustment sets it apart from twist-collar stands. A single squeeze of the integrated shaft lever releases the tube; release it at the target height and it locks – no collar to wrestle, no two-handed grip required. Height adjusts continuously between 1.05m and 1.74m, covering standing vocal work and extending to room or ambience mic positions at full height. The streamlined profile improves grip, making the stand easy to operate without looking down.

It ain't heavy...

At 3kg, the K&M 26200 Elegance is among the lightest round-base stands available – light enough to carry and reposition with one hand between songs, or to be passed between performers mid-set without interrupting the show. The steel round base provides enough ballast to keep it planted despite the lightweight aluminium shaft; the rubber profile ring dampens footfall transmission if the stand is nudged or shifted during an energetic performance. The trade-off against a heavier round-base stand like the 26145 is clear – the Elegance prioritises mobility and one-handed operation over maximum ballast, suiting performers, presenters, and technicians who move stands around frequently and value a speedy setup.

About K&M

Founded in 1949, König & Meyer (K&M) initially produced music stands and measuring tools. Just two years later, the range was expanded to include instrument stands and microphone tripods, which are still the core business of the manufacturer today – and are still manufactured in their facilities in Wertheim, Germany. K&M also produces musicians' stools, stands for speakers, monitors, and lighting, and a range of accessories for mobile devices, such as tablet mounts. To satisfy the company's own exacting standards, even the individual metal and plastic components continue to be manufactured primarily in the company's factory in Wertheim, with particular emphasis placed on environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Whenever, wherever

The lever mechanism and light weight make the Elegance a natural fit for vocalists, stand-up performers, and presenters working in venues where setup speed and minimal footprint matter: back-room venues, community halls, pop-up stages, and any situation where a heavy stand would be an obstacle rather than an asset. A trumpet player stepping forward for a solo or a presenter moving between positions can reposition the stand mid-performance without breaking stride. Beyond vocal work, the K&M 26200 Elegance handles most live miking tasks within reason – at full extension, it suits room or ambience positions, or pointing down into an open grand piano with a suitable condenser. For transport, the K&M 26019 carrying bag – sold separately – accommodates up to three round-base stands, and is fitted with padded handles and an adjustable shoulder strap.

A
Ideal for a Reflexion filter
Anonymous 29.04.2014
This was one of the heaviest based mic stand I could find with an upright stand, as I wanted a heavy base to hold a SE Reflexion Filter X. This suited the purpose quite adequately and much better than a normal mic stand, but when I then discovered I could fit the stand pole into an even heavier K&M 26020 base, it was even better!

K&M 26200 Elegance

Used for practice and gigging.
This is a great stand with a nice weighty base to keep it steady It has a spring loaded handle grip to unlock and slide for adjusting the height. This stand exudes quality compared to the budget cheap as chips ones and is a must for quick and easy height adjustments while performing. There's no more fiddling around for ages trying to adjust the height with this stand and also loads of pose potential during performances.

AS
Worth every penny!
Adele S 28.12.2014
I adore this stand! It seems like a lot to spend on a stand, but it really is worth it. I had a really cheap £10 one before which picked up every touch to it and transported the sound into the mic.. Eek! I also needed three hands to change the height, and gripping a stand between your knees while you fiddle with it is not ideal mid-song. This stand has dampeners on the base, so it does not 'boom' when you put it down, (probably shouldn't do that when the mic is in it and on but there you are) and the general handling noise is minimal. Lastly you can change the height with one hand! Ahhh! You will not regret this purchase.
