Long wait but worth it

I will say I didn't have any other compressors for electric guitar before this one. Had to wait more than a month to receive it. Actually I wonder how is it possible for Wampler to release a new pedal with such small amount of units.

The controls are exactly what I needed:
tone - to make it brighter or darker (though will say it acts more like presence than tone)
Blend - very important if you want to sound more natural
Attack and Release - to make the sound more choppy or to increase sustain
Volume - so you can adjust the volume directly on pedal
Compression - self explanatory

To give you the impressions: you understand the value of this pedal when you turn it off and hear something that sounds dull without this pedal. Very transparent, and makes your notes ring. Aside from the fact you can increase the sustain by a huge margin. All the notes will sound more uniform and professional when you engage it. Just start from the recommended settings provided by Wampler and tweak from there.

I would say this is a set and forget always on pedal.

un grande passo in avanti rispetto all'ego

Rispetto al precedente Ego, questo compressore risulta incredibilmente più musicale (e dire che già l'Ego era un gran prodotto).
Rispetto all'Ego "classico", trovo che i controlli siano molto più efficaci, in particolare il controllo di tono è estremamente efficace.
In ogni caso, attack, release e compression (ratio) sono i comandi più logici per un compressore. La combinazione di blend e compressione farà sicuramente il vostro suono.
In generale il suono che esce è molto più musicale, l'Ego 76 fa il suo lavoro senza schiacciare troppo il suono, senza limitare troppo la dinamica.
Nel confronto A/B non c'è storia a livello di complessità della trama sonora.
Un grande upgrade
