A useful tool

I purchased this product to allow a Decibel 11 Hot Stone Deluxe to power a Pigtronix Echolution 2 delay pedal.

The pedal required 18v whereas the power supply was only able to provide 9v.
Despite being made by Voodoo Lab this adapter will work with any power supply which uses the standard Boss style connectors.

It has worked flawlessly in operation and appears to be made to a high standard. I have had no issues with noise etc.

Though it is advertised for use with pedals such as the OCD I would recommend it more for pedals like the Echolution 2 which require both 18v and a significant amount of current.

There are adapters from other manufacturers which will only take up a single output from your power supply and can output 18v however these are typically limited to 30mA and so can only be used with low current pedals.

This cable can also be used to provide 24v by combining two 12v outputs although it won't provide the reverse polarity that some pedals of this voltage require.

Does what it needs to do

I bought this cable as to be able to supply 18v to my Fulltone Supa-Trem2 V2 which can function at this voltage in order to provide more headroom. It works flawlessly.

Pros: High quality as usual in Voodoo Labs products

Double your power!

I always loved the sound of my Fulltone OCD in front of my Marshall JMP 100 MK2 - but then I asked myself: How good could this combination sound, using the 18-Volt mode of the OCD ...?!
So, I started looking around for a suitable power cable (and power supply) for the OCD! I soon found out that the Voodoo Lab Y - 18 volt cable seems to be the best buy - and what can I say: yes it is!
The 'new' sound of my Fulltone OCD (thanks to the Voodoo Lab cable: now with 'double power' ;-)) is really great!! It is more straight ahead now than it was before!
If you are looking for a good and reasonably priced 18 Volt Cable, dont look any further!
