The new version of the DJ Lase 150-R comes in a new compact housing, new and better step motors, and new effect patterns.
Thanks to the red 150 mW laser diode (650nm), the DJ LASE 150-R MK-III works great in discos, clubs, bars, small theatres, etc. and can be easily integrated into the light show.
Features such as DMX, sound-to-light, master/slave key switch, etc. are part of DJ LASE's default properties.

Important note: This laser works only with a safety switch (e.g. emergency stop switch Article Nr 370007). The supplied interlock plug is not bridged and does not close the contact, which is required to operate the laser.

Legally, we do not recommend to bridge the interlock pluck but to use a emergency stop switch instead

Unbeatable for the price

Well I've only run these couple of hours now, but it's enough to say something about them. I bought 2 of these to my lightning set to be used at small clubs etc. Overall build quality is suprisingly good. Metal housing and sturdy clamp, good quality connectors and well working buttons. Looking at the price, I really cannot be to harsh on these. But some cons also, because everyone wants to know them first.

First I was unable to get any light out of these. I didn't buy the safety switch along with these, but there was a connector included. It wasn't bridged though, so if you want to test run them without a safety switches, you have to solder a bridge into the included safety switch connectors. If you don't, they will not work without the safety switches. I don't recommend using them live without safety switches but for test purposes this method seems to be ok.

Other con is the precision of the laser. For the price, its acceptable. But if you compare it to more expensive stuff, it's not that precise. It's kinda almost there. When you project a triangle, you get a triangle with some wobbly lines. But that's okay, because of the price point.

Third con is the noise level. They are loud, so if using in small quiet areas, you will definitely hear the noise.

But over all, they are very bright, they are responsive and seem to work quite well. Very well suitable for smaller clubs or events that do not require pro equipment.

A good quality DJ laser

I bought this from Thomman at the start of the year. What first attracted me was the reasonable price and comprehensive list of features. When it arrived, however, the remote that is included was broken. This was in no way Thomman's fault, and I suspect it was due to poor handling from the postal company. Thomman very kindly sent a replacement remote free of charge.

I first used this at a birthday party, however, as the remote was missing, I could only use it on "auto" mode. This proved very effective, projecting a variety of patterns the full length of the room.

I learned that to be most effective way for me to use this was to have it set to auto for the first half of the evening, then as the music gets louder change to "sound" mode, which uses an internal microphone to match the laser beam to the beat.

Overall, this is a very effective bit of kit, looks great, and is still working brilliantly 6 months later.
