It's my first ever hi-hat stand. Why Sonor? 'Cause Jojo Mayer's "Secret Weapon for the Modern Drummer: part 2" DVD)) I was so impressed by Jojo's skills that I decide that if this stand good enough for him then for me even more so (Jojo's stand on video is modified - it has perfect balance foot plate however).
Pros:
It's very sturdy heavy duty and well build professional hi-hat stand. Smooth action, all required adjustments, rotating non-slipping legs, simple and easy to use bottom cymbal tilter, clutch not unscrewed while playing. Looks cool and professional too. 2 years later and it looks nearly as new.
Cons:
Price. I paid 184.87 euro at September, 2015. It's kinda surrealistic for me to see new price tag in 300 euro in 2018. For price in 185 euro it was inbeatable deal, but now it cost as any other hi-end stand, so...
It's looks like all Sonor stuff become much more pricier then couple years ago however. New price of Benny Greb's signature snare is 612.61 euro instead of 415 back in 2015 - wow! Oh, good old times...
In summary - very good professional stand from respected company for competative price.

This has replaced the Sonor Signature Hi Hat Stand that i used to have.
Very smooth action, spring tension and excellent build quality.

Qualität hat nun mal seinen Preis

Mein altes Sonor-HiHat (aus Performer Zeiten) ist zwar noch voll funktionstüchtig, aber da ich Probleme mit dem Platzieren eines Double-Bass Drum-Pedals hatte (HiHat ist 3 beinig und fix), wollte ich etwas ändern.
HiHat's gibt es ja reichlich am Markt, die unterschiedliche Lösung für mein Problem anbieten. Zunächst war ich auch skeptisch ob ein einfaches "verdrehen" des Fußpedals ausreichen würde. Aber jetzt nach ca. 2 Wochen bin ich absolut begeistert. Und das in jeder Hinsicht. Mein Pedal-Problem ist gelöst, das HiHat arbeitet super sauber nachdem ich auf meine Spielweise eingestellt hatte. Der Preis scheint im ersten Moment sicherlich hoch, aber ich habe bisher keinen Cent bereut. Und qualitativ gleichwertige Hardware ist auch nicht wesentlich günstiger.
Sonor spielt meiner Meinung nach in Sachen Qualität halt immer in der obersten Liga.
