Years ago I tried Raw 1. I was immediately struck by Rob Papen's quality. You can feel that obsessive attention to sound and design with every product. This work reminded me in some ways of the Korg Prophecy. That synth could do enormous things, yet it was partly undervalued. For years I resisted the temptation, blocked by the price, but you know if an object has a high price it is due to something. With this distorted synth you have the possibility to create something unheard of, from simple distorted gabber kicks to the most extreme synth brought to music. If I had to reduce my VST roster to 5 instruments, this would be among the 5 chosen. Spectacular, there are no words. I often incorporate it into my productions, and not just in gabber or speedcore.
