Good piece of equipment

I use this unit to control the monitors in my living room, this way I can stream music from my phone/mac/tablet to my monitors in the living room. Very satisfied!

Highly recommended for its specific coniguration

I have this sitting between a Motu M2 and a pair of Adam T7V + a Focal sub. Besides the sub out which is an uncommon feature in this price range, I chose it so that I can also route audio from a Nintendo Switch and various Android devices via the Aux and Bluetooth inputs, and have an output available for active home speakers or headphones. The device fulfils this purpose flawlessly with the exception of a minor letdown: switching on Bluetooth switches off wired input, so simultaneous playback of wireless and wired sources is not possible.

I did not want any form of amplification in the device, and I can confirm there's no volume gain beyond what the rest of my rig is set to. There's also no sound alteration or noise that I can detect. Good.

As far as build quality, Presonus don't disappoint. The device has some heft to it, and feels as sturdy as you could hope for a monitor controller under 200€. The stepless volume knob and the buttons are smooth and perfect.

Very pleased with this purchase so far and looking forward to carrying out audio production tasks with it.

Great piece of kit: buying a second one

I originally bought this for use with my lounge hifi unit (two active bookshelf speakers plus 10 inch sub). The quality of sound is so good I am buying a second one to use in my recording studio to add the option of sub when mixing Dance/Dubstep/Hip-Hop music. Bluetooth useful for guests to play their music on their phones.

Leider nicht gut

Ich betreibe das Gerät mit einem Swissonic UA-2X2 und 2x Yamaha HS5. Leider erzeugt das Gerät nach meinem empfinden ein sehr lautes brummen / rauschen. Ohne den Presonus MicroStation BT habe ich das Brummen / Rauschen nicht. Eventuell hilft da nur eine galvanisch getrennte USB Stromversorgung. Schade dass es diesen Controller nicht passiv gibt, auf die BT Funktion hätte ich gerne verzichtet, dafür einen besseren Sound und Verarbeitung erwartet bei dem Preis.

Kaufgrund für mich war der seperate Subwooferausgang, was bei Monitorcontrollern eine echte seltenheit zu sein scheint.
