I used this with the Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter in order to turn my Gretsch Catalina 14" Tom into a mini-bass drum. As my tom doesn't have a Pearl mount I bought the ISS-1216 which is compatible with the Pearl mounting system, and works with toms which are between 12" to 16" in size.

The ISS-1216 fitted perfectly onto my 14" tom. You simply clamp the two small holders onto the rim of your tom, and tighten them with a normal drum key.

Once in place, the Pearl JG-16 adapter slots perfectly into the ISS-1216. You can then attach your bass pedal to the JG-16 plate and you are ready to go.

Like all Pearl hardware, the ISS-1216 is well made, solid, and looks perfect.

If you are trying to adapt a different size toms Pearl do several versions covering the other sizes.

After lugging my 22" bass drum around with me for many years, I finally bought this in conjunction with the Pearl JG-16 unit. Easy to assemble, this fits perfectly onto my 16" Floor Tom (Mapex M-Birch Series), enabling me to convert it into a 16" bass drum. It is now a lot easier transporting my "minimal" drum set. Would highly recommend investing in both the Pearl ISS-1216 ISS Tom Holder System and the Pearl JG-16. Saves a lot of time and space!
