Perfect for podcasting and a small home studio
I used a UA Apollo Twin but changed to Motu M2 because I wanted a much more fluid workflow in my home studio. I had little need for UA plugins and having a big, chunky interface on the table felt a bit too much of a hassle. With Motu M2, I get power by plugging usb to either my Windows PC (video editing etc.) or Macbook Pro and on both platforms it works flawlessly. The preamp quality is excellent and I have had no latency issues at all. Using loopback function is a must in my podcasting work and Motu has implemented perhaps the simplest interface for that I have used so far. The 32-bit float is also cool as it let's me really stretch the voice dynamics in podcasting. If you need more inputs, M4 should be an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Amazing at what it does plus a surprisingly good DAC
If you're looking for an interface for home studio don't skimp out on it. This bad boy is worth every penny and probably more.
Just an allaround amazing interface, love the little screen, looks very neat, feels sturdy and of high quality and most importantly has everything I need.
I absolutely love the monitoring that goes through the device itself making it completely impossible to notice any kind of delay. I use this device not only for recording but also as headphone amp generally while on computer and the DAC is amazing as some reviews said. Some of my friends have tried it out and already decided to get ones for themselves, 100% recommended.
As for negatives I didn't really like the softwares but those are of course up to the user, usb port behind the device is a bit wonky and I've had few instances of cable not connecting properly.

Excellent interface for home use
I use the M2 for tracking guitar and bass, practice using Bias FX and as a general audio interface for everyday use. In all these fields, this unit has excelled. Easy to use and install, very low latency for recording, also works well connected to Genelec monitors as an everyday interface for the computer. The controls and connectors feel sturdy and responsive. The display is excellent for tracking input clipping when recording and setting gain on, for example, guitars.
Plug-and-play usability combined with a rich feature set (proper display, loopback-recording, independent direct monitoring and phantom power for inputs) make this a recommendable unit for home recording, despite the slightly higher price compared to competitors products.

Currently the best audio interface in this price range.
Pre-amps are really good and the drivers are solid. I honestly don't think I will be needing another interface for many years to come.

Awesome USB-interface for homestudio
The preamps seem to be excellent in this small box. I like the input/output meter displays. Low latency and enough ports for homestudio. The headphone amp drives my Beyerdynamic DT-880 very well and my Adam A3Xs sound great through it.
It is small and light and easy to take with me when traveling. No problems with this one in any recording situation yet.
