Meinl Practice Pad Stand

I bought this stand because I travel quite often and wanted something small and lightweight to take with (along with my 7" practice pad).
The construction of the stand is very good. The stand is small but sturdy and fits easily into a small backpack.
There are only a couple things that I would say Meinl could make better. First, the top part of the stand is not able to be angled up or down. Once the practice pad is screwed on, it is flat and there is no adjusting the incline of it. That would be a nice feature.
Second, the screw mount is nice for mounting a pad, but the counter screw comes loose from time to time. You would need a small pair of pliers to lock the pad in place and keep it from moving. I did, however, come up with a solution that works perfectly. I took a large lock washer that fits over the threaded post and under the practice pad and now it stays perfectly in place.
Overall, a great product for the price. If you want something more high-end, then you will have to pay more for something better. For small practice pads, and the occasional use, this stand is all you need.
