Baseplate tekee mitä lupaakin. Sain oman stratoni soundiin kaivattua potkua ja auktoriteettia. Olin jo hetken harkinnut mikinvaihtoa, mutta päätin kokeilla tätä. Kyllä kannatti!

Asentaminen on yksinkertaista ja nopeaa, mikäli kolvi pysyy hyppysissäsi. Mitään ongelmia ei ole ollut esim. feedbackin kanssa. Loistava lisä stratosoundiin!

Helps to get good tone

This baseplate gives nice fullness to a vintage output strat bridge pickup, which may sometimes be a little thin for some applications. Installing was easy and it fit nicely under a Vintage Hot bridge pickup. Quality was good also and instructions can be found from Lindy Fralin's website. Happy with the purchase.

Cheaper than a new pickup

I installed it on my Raw Vintage 50's Strat bridge coil. It's low output (5.7kohm) but I wanted a bit more punch. This baseplate didn't turn it into a humbucker, but closer to a Tele coil and I like that.

This is a great little hack to beef up the tone of your bridge pickup. I play a strat fitted with 60s pickups which all have the same output. The baseplate makes the bridge pickup stand out a bit more.
Read online that people install them to get a 'tele' sound out of their strat. Well this is not really the case. To get close to that, installing the baseplate is not enough. A different wiring is needed - e.g using the 2nd tone pot as a blender to fade the bridge pickup in and out in positions 5 & 4.
Installation might be a bit tricky if you have not experience soldering but should be straightforward and inexpensive for any luthier.
