Quite OK for a random troubadour gig... but lacking in a band setting

The LD IEM set comes in a fancy, sturdy carrying case and the user experience of the newly designed interface on the transmitter is easy. Sadly, those are the things that float above the positive line. The receiver belt pack is made of plastic and feels frail to the point I feel I might break it If I'm not careful.

I play mainly Bass guitar and I like to think that my sound is generally what one expects to get out of a decent bass guitar and amp. That seems to be the first weak point of this unit. The low frequencies tend to deteriorate and distort. When I played bass just by myself the issues in the sound quality are quite apparent.

I've used this set in a rehearsal situation and on live gigs. The amount of hiss and random static bursts were less noticeable in a live music gig setting as the band sound generally has distortion etc in the mix. The rehearsals were a different story, alas. Now that the volume level was way more controlled, the not-so-clear sound started to annoy me pretty fast. The sound quality seems to quickly get worse as the battery power wanes.

And one annoying thing was also that the rack ears tend to make the unit bulge outwards in the rack.

TL;DR Great for a solo act or a band that only has, say, acoustic guitars and vocals, lacking in a full range band setting. Especially on the low end.

Would I buy this again if broken or stolen? No.

It does the job for what its designed to do. It is a little bit noisier "Static White noise" than id like it to be.. but its only a minor issue. Its generally quite good and has lots of features, a very good option for a semi-pro musician.

I really like this monitoring system. Okay, it a cheap plastic, not too robust, but it okay in this price range! Anyway it works really well, good sound, stable signal.

Ich nutze das IE für unsere Proben und sollten, wenn's wieder besser möglich wird, auch zum Live Einsatz kommen.
Das Produkt kommt in LD Manier in einem sicheren Koffein, worin alles nochmals, unnötigerweise, mit Plastik umhüllt ist.
Der Sender macht einen Stabilen und wertigen Eindruck wohingegen der Empfänger sehr nach Plastikbomber wirkt bzw. haptisch sehr leicht ist.
Die Kabel angeschlossen, Sender und Empfänger eingeschaltet und das wars. Also wirklich jeder Idiot hat ausreichend Gehirnzellen um das Gerät zu bedienen, hoffe ich zumindest.
Sound: Ich kann absolut nichts gravierendes feststellen. Im Gege3zum IMei1000 habe ich das Gefühl, dass wesentlich weniger Grundrauschen vorhanden ist und die Übertragung völlig Ausreichend auch für Profis ist.
Sowohl Bass, als auch Höhen werden sehr Neutral wiedergegeben. Ich muss dazu sagen dass ich als Kopfhörer die Shure Se 535 verwende.
Bzgl Sound kann ich mich aber nicht wirklich beschweren sondern nur subjektiv glauben, dass die teuren Geräte besser klingen ohne es zu wissen 😅

Fazit : exakt was ich brauche zu einem super Preis
