Neutral and natural.

I've had it for 4 years now and it does a wonderful job every time I use it. I've used it mostly for vocals but for acoustic guitar as well. It can be used for a wide range of applications.

It comes in a nice wooden box and the product is well designed and built. Doesn't feel cheap in any manner. It is very plain and simple as well. The shock mount is perhaps a bit weird but I have had no problem with it at all.

I would describe the sound as neutral, not harsh at all. Nice and pure is what I wanted and I think I got it. I do consider this as a high-end choice. I used to have a GAP Pre-73 MK2 as a preamp and it made a nice combo with the BH2. Probably some of the best sound you get for ~1k combined.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a simple, good reliable condenser mic. Worth all the money.

Beautiful top end

The mic has a bright response and is extremely clean. It took me awhile to get used to the sound, but now I enjoy it a lot. The most special thing for me is that despite it's brightness, the top end is still smooth and clear. I have owned 414xls, tlm102, tlm103 and tlm107 - all clean transformerless mics, which tend to have harsh metallic high frequencies. The bh2 has the nicest high frequencies compared to all of them, sometimes it sounds a bit round as well. It is definitely not one that does saturation/ softening like vintage mics. But it does what it does well: clean, dry and very nice.
