Harley Benton TE-80 NT Deluxe Series B-Stock

It's quite a while since I bought this so I have a lot of experience with this guitar to go on. It's a beautiful rendition of a guitar played by Prince and now commanding lots of money to buy older original versions. The top is figured very nicely and double bound in black and is complemented very well by the pick-guards. All the controls work smoothly and have a good range.

The two single coils give some nice sounds and the neck is particularly good, being deep but cutting, giving just the right amount of bite to blues leads.

The best thing is the neck, oh, the neck, just fantastic. Satin finished rather than gloss and very well shaped without being too big. The frets were good and it's playing beautifully. It's a delight to play.

Overall it's agreat guitar and the only slight niggle is that it's a little on the heavy side, apart from that it's great value and has a high quality finish and sound.

Great slim neck with lovely maple fretboard. No sharp frets and very even. Good quality singlecoil pickups. Nice big vintage 3 way switch. Cool fat chrome volume and tone controls and a stunning flamed maple top. Scratchplate is kind of ugly but will be replacing it. Decent chrome hardware has kept tune well while played.

Plays as you would expect a tele really good for rock or blues. Tried it trough a practice amp, a marshall combo and into amplitube pc through mixer and it sounds great with a bright rich tone.

All I had to do was some fine tuning and it was up and playing with a nice low action. The neck has a satin finish that is easy for movement and doesnt get sticky over long sessions. The maple is well matched and the finish is that of a far much more expensive guitar. Id read it was heavy and it was but no heavier than my ibanez. all in all fantastic all round guitar and amazing for the money. As good as my squier and ibanez at a less than half the price.

anfang dezember war ich in Treppendorf und hab die TE-80 NT hängen gesehen.
ich bin absoluter Telefan und ne "prinz" sieht schon immer sehr lecker aus - also hab ich mir das teil geschnappt und mich erstmal über die gefühlten "10 kilo" gewicht gewundert, aber egal - anspielen muss sein!
Mitgenommen habe ich sie aber (vorerst) nicht, da ich irgendwie eh zuviele Telcasters habe... (aber sie ging mir nimmer aus dem Kopf)
Kurz vor weihnachten hab ichs dann nach langem hin und her doch gemacht und die TE-80 NT Deluxe bestellt

Beim auspacken war ich hin und weg, das teil schaut wirklich atemberaubend aus!
allerdings war die bespielbarkeit ein wenig suboptimal, einiges hat geschnarrt und so hab ich die Gitarre meinem freund und gitarenbauer mitgegeben, der alles gerichtet hat, sattel nachfeilen und die brückenreiterchen entgraten, neue saiten drauf und die gitarre lässt sich nun bespielen wie butter!

der sound ist für mich ein wenig schwierig, da die gitarre für meinen geschmack viel zu wenig bässe hat, selbst der halspickup klingt sehr höhenreich, aber ohne nennenswerten "Bauch", da werde ich mir noch ein wenig gedanken zu machen, wie das geändert werden kann

aber nichtdestotrotz ist das eine wunderschöne, sehr gut bespielbare gitarre, die, bedenkt man den preis, nur staunen lässt, wie so was geht - der hammer!

Erst die dritte bei mir eingetroffene Gitarre erfüllte meine Erwartungen an "einigermaßen bespielbar". Die beigelegten Thomann Qualitätskontrollkärtchen sind eher ein Placebo. Etwas Schnarren ist dennoch geblieben, das ich mal bei Gelegenheit beheben werde. Optische Mängel gibt es an der Bundierung (teils auch auf dem Produktbildern erkennbar, ist das etwa meine?). Die Wilkinson Pickups klingen in Ordnung, Bridge teils etwas sehr schrill, kann man dann ja individuell aufrüsten. Wie bereits erwähnt wurde, ist die Gute ordentlich schwer, habs nicht gewogen, aber im Vergleich zu meiner RC320 gut gefühlte 1,5kg drauf. Gute Basis mit spektakulärem Aussehen, so ne Tele sieht man nich an jedem hängen.

Wer gleich ein gutes Modell erwischt, hat Glück und kann dann auch mal 4 oder 5 Sterne geben ;)
