Hihna pidempiin soittosessioihin

Tämä on edullinen, hyvä ja tyylikäs nahkasta tehty kitarahihna. Olkapehmusteen ansiosta soittimen kannattelu on miellyttävämpää. Pehmuste onkin mielestäni parasta tässä hihnassa. Ulkonäkö on yksinkertainen: hihna on musta ja siinä on hopeanharmaa tikkaus etupuolella ja etukiinnikkeen lähelle nahkaan on painettu teksti ”Harley Benton”. Huonona puolena voisin mainita, että hihnaa ei saa kiristettyä kovinkaan lyhyeksi. Tämän takia hihna ei sovellu pienikokoisille soittajille, joiden soittoasennossa kitaraa pidetään mahdollisimman ylhäällä. Myöskin pehmuste saisi mielestäni olla vähän leveämpi ja paksumpi, mutta se on joka tapauksessa parempi verrattuna yksinkertaisiin nailon- tai nahkahihnoihin, joissa pehmustetta ei ole. Se myös tekee hihnasta tukevamman ja helpomman käsitellä. Joitakin voi myös miellyttää kuvioitu, koristeellinen tai värikäs kitarahihna, joita löytyy enemmän esim. nailonhihnoista. Olen ollut erittäin tyytyväinen tähän hihnaan muutamasta moitteesta huolimatta. Hihna vaikuttaa kestävältä ja on minusta lähellä optimaalista. Hihnan kaveriksi kannattaa hommata hihnalukot.

Well-padded strap suitable for heavy-weight guitars

I was looking for a wide padded guitar strap for my heavy-weight (4.0 kg) guitar with notable neck-dive. The Harley Benton Padded strap was affordable and it seemed to have all the required specs I was looking for.

The strap is indeed wide, well-padded and it has high friction (it stays in place).

There are only two downsides to this product:
1. The padding soaks up moisture very effectively. After a long sweaty gig, the padding is like a wet sponge full of sweat. So, care must be taken in allowing the strap to dry properly after a sweaty playing session (do not put it directly into a closed guitar case!).
2. The strap is very long and its length adjustment range does not cover the shortest options. So, if you wish to play with guitar hanging high (like Tom Morello or 1960s Beatles), you may need to add extra holes in the tail of the strap.

All in all, the strap is of high quality, it looks good (black suits heavy metal style very well), and it does its job at an affordable price point. I can warmly recommend this product to all guitarists and bassists.

Mukava hihna

Jakaa kitaran painon mukavasti, on pehmeä olalla ja tarjoaa erinomaista vastinetta rahalle. Säätövaraa riittää niin soittoasennostaan pikkutarkalle kuin pitkällekin kitaristille – ja myös rajumpaan menoon. Ei tietenkään mikään luksustuote, muttei mikään halpa liparekaan – enemmänkin ns. järkiostos.

Great strap for heavier instruments

I recently bought the Harley Benton JB-75 jazz bass. People said that it's very heavy, so I bought this strap along with it. I'm happy to report that while the bass is indeed on the heavier side, I'm able to play it standing up very comfortably for long periods. The strap is extra wide and has padding on the shoulder. Great height adjustability too, all the way from "Beatles" to "Korn".

I also own an older HB strap (+10 yrs old) and compared to that, the quality of these straps has gone way up. The old one is quite uncomfortable and the leather used is so stiff that it's almost impossible to actually mount it to a guitar. No issues like that with this new strap. The leather is supple and overall quality of the strap is very high.
