Harley Benton GuitarBass VS Vintage Series

First of all I know harley bentons. They are cheap and usually need a bit of work before you can even think about playing them. So was this. The neck wasn't tightened properly. You could stick a coin to the gap it had between body and the neck. Also some frets needed work so it could be played from every fret. Thats why I cant recommend these instruments to people that don't know how to do basic setup.
The bass or guitar or baritone what you want to call it with proper setup plays well and the sound, sustain and resonance is all there and they are good. I've owned the competitor brands bass vi before and I never couldn't get it to play well enough, so I had to sell it. But HB did really impressive job with this one. The whole concept of Bass VI is difficult at least if you want it to sound clean without buzzes.
The wood work and finish is all solid no complaints there. Input jack needs bit work perhaps a loose solder. Hardware works. It stays in tune as you would expect. Pickups are so so, for the price they will get the job done but I will propably change atleast the bridge pickup.
All in all what did I get? Well I wanted a bass vi. Was planning on buying a shortscale bass and do it my self until I found this. No regrets and with a bit of care I got my self a proper playing bass vi with that deep sad sound I love and thats a lot since the double priced competitor couldn't even reach half the way.
