If you dig/need that metal double bass click sound, you can't go wrong with this.

This is a great short-cut to getting that clicky double bass sound that's so common for metal music, to help your bass drum cut through the mix. If you have a dark sounding mic or you find yourself always struggling to get more click from your bass drum and over eq-ing and compressing, this is a really great tool that'll save you a lot of sweat. It's very durable and high quality. I would recommend using rubber beater heads to really get that sticky click sound. It's also good if you are a drummer who doesn't beat the bass drum that hard, and you still need it to sound like you're beating the crap out of it!

I would not recommend this for lighter music styles, because you can't avoid the click sound with one of these. It will always be there.

Good for metal, not much else.

The pad provides a clicky sound when struck with the beater, which sounds pretty good at higher volumes and intensity. However, it's not well suited for softer, less intense playing. Just the slightest touch of the beater will produde a clicking sound, which can become quite annoying. I recommend this pad for metal players, but not if you're mostly playing other styles.

Very nice beater pad

This is really good, makes the right "click" -sound to your kick drum, perfect for metal drummers. Only bad thing, this lasted about a year and then broke, so not very durable.

Didn't last long

This had some not very nice vibrations with my wood beaters and didn't last long, it broke off.
