Fender Jim Root Jazzmaster

Pros: Very comfortable to play, the body shape is so nice and the guitar sits in lap or strap well. Neck is similar to strat, easy and comfy. The guitar weights little more than modern strats but weight distribution is good. Sound is typical Emg sound, hate it or like it.

Cons: The biggest flow is the finishing. The fret work was very bad: the edges of the frets were extremely sharp what made the guitar unpleasant to play. And it was not only a few frets that was sharp: every fret and on both sides of the neck were in the same horrible condition. Also the pickup switch was wrong way put in place: when the switch is ”forward” position the bridge pickup is activated but it should activate the neck pickup. That is easy to fix and it is not big issue. But maybe thease together tells something about the finishing of the product and guality control?

Conclusion: when you get properly finished product it will be awesome for its kind of music. Pretty versitale guitar too keepind mind that it has no tone control and the pickups are high output active Emg’s.
