These strings (and the Fender Original Bullets) are the only ones that anchor solidly against the inserts on the tailpieces of my Jaguar/Jazzmaster style tremolos, and my Maestro Vibrola tailpieces. This means they have more sustain and better durability especially with players like me who heavily use the tremolo arm/whammy bar. Before when I used regular ball-end strings the most common problem was the string windings on the treble strings would rub against the insert holes of the Jaguar tremolo tailpiece. This caused the first string to start unwinding or to snap very frequently, especially whenever I used the tremolo arm. Luckily I discovered the solution for this problem (Bullet strings) through the internet. Obviously these strings are highly recommended for stratocaster style tremolo systems also. I will never go back to using regular ball end strings again. With these strings I can do wide bending and heavy use of the tremolo arm without fear of string breakages. I'm so glad these strings are not expensive, plus they last for ages. I am also a Jimi Hendrix fanatic so nearly all my guitars are tuned to E flat, and these strings feel absolutely perfect for me when they are tuned to E flat. I recently discovered that Eddie Van Halen uses Fender Bullets with this same guage (9-42) and also tuned to E flat. Thank You Thomann & Thank You Fender.
