G2 is a great batter head
The Evans G2 heads are in my opinion the best batter heads for toms. I have tried other brands and model a few times, but in the end I have never found a drum head that would be as good sounding, easy to tune and durable as the Evans G2. I have used Evans G2 both live and in the studio and they work fantastically well in every situation.
I use the following setup for my toms: Evans G2 clear on the batter side and Evans G1 on the bottom side. Works every time and I would highly recommend these heads to everyone.
