My go to string set!

These strings are very versatile. The thicker lower strings make rhythm heavy and tight while the higher and thinner strings are great for soloing and bending. Also the coating makes slides so much easier!

I have settled on Elixir after trying most big string brands.

My hands get quite sweaty, this is the only brand that has the strings last for a reasonable time before corroding.

The sound is also really really good, the optiweb is not a lot better than nanoweb, but the difference is enough for me to look for these every time.

Now for the gauge, the 10-52 is great if you want that punchy rhythm chug on the power chords but do not want to do a lot of effort to bend. It works well for E standard, D standard or drop C tunings alike. Too bad the local shops don't stock enough of them and elixir is not selling packs of 10.
