Professional Studiocore

Constantly on tour, less-than-ideal helpers for setting up, no time for laying the separate sound and light cables - all of these require a flexible multicore with high mechanical durability and exceptional protection against interference radiation. As a consequence, CORDIAL decided on an extremely high-quality construction: PE for cable insulation, densely packed pairs of cables comprising fine Cu wires, double shielding via a sturdy braided shield. The individual pairs are fitted with a number-coded PVC sheath and therefore allow the direct assembly of, for example, Neutrik XLR connectors without additional shrink tubing.

Quality without braking the bank

When you wire up your studio one of the things that are quite expensive it's cabling so making you own it's sometimes the best solution this cable is thick and it's not very expensive in terms of sound haven't heard a difference and the copper per core is thick so no high risk of braking there

Günstiger Kabelspender

Beim Verkabeln einer Patchbay und beim Kabel löten fand ich heraus, dass das CMG16 eine verhältnismäßig günstige Quelle für Kabel auf Linepegel in guter Qualität ist: Mantel entfernen (ja, das macht zugegebenermaßen Arbeit), und die 16 Adern einzeln verwenden. Der dünne Querschnitt erleichtert den Einsatz preiswerter Klinkenstecker.

Ansonsten findet sich das Kabel bei mir im Studio auch unseziert; es ist - im Gegensatz zum Livebetrieb - dort aber keinen großen Belastungen ausgesetzt. Die Flexibilität finde ich für ein 16er Kabel gut. Der PVC-Mantel ist recht widerstandsfähig.

Zudem gibt es einen zusätzlichen, dicht geflochtenen Schirm für alle Adern gemeinsam. Ich bein kein Anhänger von Kabel-Vodoo. Für niederohmige Quellen reichen mir eine gute Schirmung und akzeptabler Seelendurchmesser aus. Beides hat das CMG16.

Fazit: Ich bin zufrieden.

Hab mir das Kabel bestellt um die Multipinstecker meines alten Soundcraft Pultes mit meiner Patchbay neu zu verbinden.
Was soll man sagen, nicht zu steif, lässt sich schön verarbeiten, auch die Isolierung der einzelnen Litzen ist ausreichend, man kann da ruhig mit dem Lötkolben, bisschen länger draufhalten, ohne das diese gleich wegschmilzt...
