It makes a lot of sense to buy these as a bundle it saves a little money and it guarantees that they arrive together. I have been very impressed with the quality of the adaptor and was worried that spending so much money on it would not bring me the quality that the outlay would demand - but it matches to coles on the 'ruggedness' front and that is a very tough ask indeed. The mic is very good and one of the most natural microphones that I have tried - it adds a class to any sound source and has excelled on every source i would have normally put a LDC on .
