Aquarian TC-A Drum Head Set Studio:

Minulla ei ole juuri kokemusta monista eri kalvoista, mutta nämä ainakin tuntuvat ajavan asiansa loistavasti. Hieman demppaavat, eli eivät soi ihan niin kauan kuin monet muut, mikä on ainakin omalla treenikselläni hyvä asia (huono akustointi). Myös studiohommiin varmasti mainiot (tuotteen nimikin siihen viittaa).

Kalvot tuntuvat olevan laadukkaasti tehdyt, en ole huomannut virheitä, eikä kalvot tunnu kuluvan mitenkään erityisen nopeasti. Suht helpot virittää ja tuntuvat alistuvan monille eri vireille, alhaisille ja korkeille.

Varsinkin tomeihin suosittelen näitä ehdottomasti. Virvelin kalvotus taas on niin makukysymys, että en varauksetta uskalla suositella, mutta testaamallahan sekin selviää ja voihan olla, että kaikki ei näistä tomeissakaan tykkää.

Hintalaatusuhde tuntuu olevan todella hyvä, ainakin mikäli tällaisen kokonaisen setin ostaa.

Niin kuin tuotesittelyssäkin sanotaan, kalvo on herkkä kapuloilla soitettaessa. Sudeilla en ole vielä ehtinyt testaamaan, mutta näkisin, että kalvot toimivat jazzsutimeiningissä vallanmainiosti.

Quality trumps price!

Years ago I bought a drum kit for my home studio and was met with a nice surprise when the drummer of my band recommended I buy these drum heads.

These drum heads are very nicely coated; full, rich and organic sounding heads perfect for funk, classic rock, jazz or anyone who likes a more ?wooden? generally natural sound to their drums.

They are extremely resilient; I?ve had the same set for over five years and they still sound rich and full. They still look relatively new after much abuse.

The only cons are that they are not extremely versatile sounding, they?d better suite someone who?s going for a more vintage sound and they?re tricky to tune.

In all, excellent organic sound, will last you a long time and costs way less than they should for such quality.

Good Heads

The coating on these heads is of a very high standard, however they take a lot longer to tune than other heads such as Evans 360 Gs. I would recommend these heads as they are of a great quality when you consider the price of them. Another bonus about these heads is that they have kept their color and still look relatively fresh considering i have practiced for hours on them and also played many gigs with them.

If your looking for some good heads at a good price these are for you, but expect to take some time to tune them until they sound how you want them to.
