Nicely made, but not necessarily a drop-in replacement

I have also reviewed the matching pickguard and much the same comments apply. If you are buying this to replace the backplate on a Harley Benton guitar and hoping that the screw holes will line up, they won't (or at least the didn't on mine). This is a little smaller than the one fitted to the guitar, so I had to drill some holes. I had to drill four new ones and could reuse two existing ones, but didn't need to plug any (the unused holes were all covered by the new backplate). The cutout for access to the strings also doesn't line up perfectly with the block, so I will have to remove the backplate for string changes. I could have made it line up, but that would have left unused screw holes exposed and required more drilling.

Despite all this, it looks the part and seems to be well made.

The holes!!!

I use it on my red strat, and I, for some reason, didn't pay attention to the hole placement, and so, ended up having to drill two new holes for it (because I wanted - I could've left it only with the other for screws) and that's MY bad.

Other than that, it feels alright, and looks pretty good, without being overly expensive, so, be aware of the holes, and you should be fine.

A nice finishing touch

I bough this as I was doing a face lift to my squire strat. It matches the new front face plate I have bought and is a nice finishing touch. I did find that the six holes did not match up with the original plate but it was not a hard job to use a fine drill and put 6 new holes in. The old holes are not visible when the plate is on. This plate has one long slot to allow you to change strings so you have plenty of access to the back of the tremolo regardless of were the tremolo is sitting.
Overall great quality and well worth the money, another great product from Thomann.

Had to drill more holes

I guess this is what happens when you don't buy genuine Fender parts. I had to drill holes into the product so it would fit my guitar. It don't look to bad, but maybe it could come blank? Wouldn't recommend this product.
