The Neumann M49V set is the new edition of the legendary M49 and is produced in small batches with the V (for variable) suffix. It uses the same circuit as the M 49 c, but with an even lower noise subminiature tube and still has the handy high-pass filter and the remote-controlled polar pattern switch.
