News from the world of portable keyboards! Yamaha has launched the PSR-SX720+, the successor to the popular PSR-SX700. The 128-voice polyphonic 61-key keyboard comes with 1,377 sounds and 56 drum/SFX kits, as well as 450 styles featuring 3 intros, 4 main variations, 4 fills, a break and 3 endings. Audio can be recorded in CD quality and played back via the 2 x 15-watt speaker system. A real entertainer!

Expressive E has launched two new MPE controller keyboards, the Osmose 49 CE and Osmose 61 CE. If you’re not familiar with MPE: thanks to multidimensional keys and individual MIDI channels, MIDI Polyphonic Expression lets you control parameters for each note independently using compatible software. Both keyboards, available with 49 or 61 keys, also support gesture control including tapping, pressing, pitch bend, vibrato, shaking, strumming and expressive note-off. They also feature an MPE arpeggiator, a 4.3-inch colour display and several knobs and buttons. For anyone who loves expressive playing!

Sennheiser presents two new over-ear, closed-back dynamic headphones with a frequency response of 3 to 28,700 Hz, 38 mm drivers and an impedance of 130 ohms. Both models are fitted with synthetic leather ear pads featuring a velour contact surface. The key difference: while the HD-480 PRO comes with a carrying pouch, the HD-480 PRO Plus includes a sturdy hard case, ensuring it’s perfectly protected when on the move.
