Consistent quality!

This is my first flugelhorn mouthpiece from Yamaha. As always, Yamaha delivers consistent quality all over their product range. My lips are familiar with their size 16 mouthpieces. So when switching from cornet or trumpet to flugelhorn there is not even a "feel" problem.

Sehr ausgewogen

Das 16F4 habe ich zusätzlich zu meinem 14F4 GP.
Der Klang ist noch etwas voller und die Leichtigkeit in der Höhe ist bei mir nur wenig geringer.
Ein zum Vergleich gespieltes Dennis Wick 3FL war mir zu anstrengend und im Klang etwas zu dunkel.
Wenn es das 16F4 mit Goldrand gäbe, würde ich das nehmen, weil mir die besonders glatte Oberfläche sehr gut gefällt.

Excelente boquilla de flugel a precio competitivo.

Como todas las boquillas Yamaha, así como sus intrumentos, son productos de factura fina, altísima calidad que se venden a muy buenos precios.
Esta boquilla de flugel es de la serie 16, que equivalente al tamaño de aro 1 1/2 C, con una copa pronunciada en forma de V, típica de cornetas y flugelhorns, que le confiere el típico sonido oscuro, lleno y aterciopelado de los instrumentos de sección cónica.
Para mí es una excelente opción ya que habitualmente toco con las boquillas de la serie 16, tanto para trompeta, como para corneta y flugel. Soy usuario de las boquillas 16C4, 16D, 16E4 y 16E (corneta), por lo que busco que el tacto del aro sea el mismo, posibilidad que me ofrecen estas boquillas de la misma serie ya que comparten el mismo aro.

Mon avis après 7 mois avec l’embouchure Yamaha 16F4 pour bugle

Cela fait maintenant 7 mois que j’utilise cette embouchure Yamaha 16F4, et je dois dire qu’elle a parfaitement répondu à mes attentes. Elle m’avait été conseillée par un conseiller Thomann, que je remercie encore au passage pour ses conseils précis et son professionnalisme.

Dès les premières notes, j’ai senti que le contact avec les lèvres était agréable. Le bord est confortable, bien arrondi, ce qui m’a permis de jouer plus longtemps sans tension. L’embouchure tient bien, même après une longue session.

Ce que j’apprécie le plus, c’est la facilité d’émission. Les notes sortent naturellement, sans forcer, surtout dans le registre médium et grave, où le bugle peut vraiment chanter. Le son reste chaud, centré, bien typé “bugle”, sans trop d’effort. Idéal pour les morceaux lyriques ou les passages en douceur.

Le diamètre intérieur est parfait pour moi : ni trop large, ni trop étroit. Il donne assez de contrôle sans brider la sonorité. L’équilibre entre confort, projection et chaleur est très réussi.

Côté finition, c’est du Yamaha : propre, durable, et agréable en bouche. Rien à redire. L’embouchure s’adapte très bien à mon Thomann FH-1000S, et l’ensemble fonctionne à merveille.
