I play Bach Vincent 37 trumpet for 8 years and this product has been another great thing in my life.

This is an interesting mute, in that the cup is adjustable - you can slide it closer to the bell to create a different sound. I have found that it is possible to achieve a sound very similar to a stone lined cup mute by bringing the cup very close to the bell. Used without the cup, this mute is a dark toned straight mute. A single mute with a variety of different sounds.

Some things, accessories in particular, you expect to be the same no matter who makes them. Denis Wick is not like that, the sound is so perfect that you dont find in other mutes. You can hear it even on YouTube videos, it?s distinctive. Have this for years, and has not taken any age related impact.

The best all-aroud cup mute

It was a simple matter: buy a mute that was not too cheap, but high-quality and suitable for different styles of music. I can say with confidence that this product fully met my expectations: there are no problems with intonation, it holds firmly in the bell, and the assembly itself is well done. It is also convenient that it can be turned into a regular straight mute, a sort of 2 in 1. Thanks to the Thomann website for the quality service!
