My favorite glue

I am glad that this glue is offered by Thomann. I used to live in the US and used this glue for everything but outdoor projects. It's extraordinary strong and very easy to use.

It will dry slightly transparent yellow, sort of like wood resin. I clean up glue squeeze out with a damp rag. If I do find some spots after it dried, I use spit (yes, my own...), it comes off quite easily.

And of course, not to forget, if you do need to take your pieces apart later on, this glue makes it easy.

In Conclusion: All the advantages of hot hide glue, without the hassle of using a melting pot etc.

Inzwischen klebte ich damit Versteifungsleisten in einer 1100g-Flamencogitarre, den Wirbelkasten einer Bass-Oud, das Griffbrett eines E-Basses und sogar den Steg einer 5-saitigen Akustik-Bassgitarre (H bis g). Jedesmal fehlte mir die Zeit, selber Hautleim zu kochen, so dass erst durch diesen Fertigleim die Reparatur rechtzeitig möglich war.
Entgegen meiner anfänglichen Skepsis hält bis jetzt jede dieser Klebungen, klanglich gibt es keine Änderungen.
Sowohl Reinigungswirkung des Klebers als auch eine Pflegewirkung konnte ich bisher nicht entdecken. Wie auch? Das Zeug soll kleben und das tut's perfekt. Deswegen bin ich mit deren Fehlen sehr zufrieden (jeweils 5 Sternchen).

J'ai utilisé cette colle pour réaliser moi même des travaux de réfection sur une vielle guitare que les luthiers jugeaient trop abimée au regard de sa valeur résiduelle : j'ai refait un sillet de tête, recollé le chevalet et comblé des fissures. La colle est suffisamment fluide et on peut parfaitement positionner, repositionner les pièces avant séchage. Elle se nettoie parfaitement à l'eau et une fois sec, tout tient parfaitement

Habe mit Titebond einen Stuhl komplett neu verleimt. Durch die lange Topfzeit kann man sich zum Korrigieren viel Zeit lassen. Zwei Tage lang mit Zwingen zusammengehalten und alles hält bombenfest. Der Leim ist nach dem Trocknen gelblich transparent.
