Veel klank voor een goede prijs!

Goed, er zijn goedkopere Cajons te vinden...

Maar voor dit geld zo'n goede Cajon vinden is eigenlijk niet te doen.
De afwerking is niet helemaal top. De rand van de slagplaat steekt iets over aan de bovenkant. Daardoor ga je er met je hand/pols vaak langs.
Voor de rest ziet de Cajon er fantastisch uit in het kobalt.
Door de behoorlijke poten staat hij goed stevig maar is daardoor wel wat aan de hoge kant. Ben je 1m80 meter of meer dan zit je prima. De kleinere trommelaars onder ons zullen het misschien een wat hoge zit vinden.

De snare afstelling is wat rudimentair, maar werkt verder prima.
De afstelknop zit voor mij precies op de goed plaats.
Uit het midden naar de achterkant. Hierdoor kan mijn Heck Stick (of iets anders) er nog prima tegenaan "geplakt" worden.

Het klankgat is eigenlijk aan de kleine kant. Ca. 10cm in doorsnee.
Het bas geluid is goed, maar wil je iets dikker bas geluid dan is een klankgat van zo'n 12cm beter. Ik heb het klankgat van deze Cajon zelf ruimer gemaakt naar 12cm omdat er geen andere Cajon is als deze met een 12cm gat.

Daarnaast heb ik, gezien de prijs van deze Cajon hier op Thomann een Meinl Percussion Mic erbij gekocht. Dat is de gouden combi wat mij betreft. Prima mic voor z'n geld. En op deze manier kan je gemakkelijk versterkt spelen. Ik speel vaak op straat en dat gaat op deze manier helemaal prima.

Met deze Cajon en mic heb je voor een leuke prijs (lees; klein budget) een hele vette sound en het ziet er ook nog eens super mooi uit. Tenminste... als je net als ik kobalt een mooie kleur vindt 😁
