First of all: this thing looks AMAZING wherever it stands. Having one of these in the middle of the stage is really cool, that's for sure.
Unfortunately, it is not the best for live performances. The design and the supercardioid pattern makes it pick up a lot of noise from everywhere around, and if you are playing in a small venue with the PA speakers or monitors too close, you'll find yourself wasting a lot of valuable time trying to get rid of the annoying feedback. In bigger, more spacious stages, no problem.
To helping you getting over this inconvenience, this mic comes with this cool desk stand (see pics.), so you can also easily use it to record podcast, in video chats, vlogs and, as in our case, radio broadcasting. It looks as cool standing on the studio desk as it does on a stage!
This thing is heavy, and it feels very sturdy, but keep in mind that the actual mic casing is made of metal, but the lower part, where the switch and the XLR connector is, is all plastic and it feels like it could break if you are not careful. However, I think you could run over it with your car, and the capsule would stay intact.
I personally don't notice much difference between the different settings (vocal/instrument/percussion), but it is a nice feature that may come handy eventually.
Overall, it looks amazing and sound is not too bad. Certainly, you can get better quality mic with this price tag, but who needs good sound when you look that good, right?

heavy piece of gear that does the job and looks cool. It's not a Shure for sure
