For such a small and extremely light unit, this power supply packs a huge punch. Along with 5 pedals on my pedal board for pedal steel guitar, in what was usually a noisy chain, the Ojai eliminates all power noise and ground loop issues. This had been a real issue for me prior to purchasing this unit. With each of the outputs isolated from the main power, this is a really well designed piece of equipment. What makes the pedal even more impressive is the ability to make it scalable and expandable allowing connection of multiple Ojai's if you wish to power more than five pedals. Strymon have gone a step further also for the touring musician by building in worldwide power compatibility. This pedal is a must-have on your pedal board.

Good and expensive.
The Ojai is quite unrivaled because it has 5 fully insulated (galvanically separated) outputs with 9 V = / 500 mA each. It is supplied with a 24V = switching power supply, from which through a looped output a few more Ojai can be supplied.
The 9V are produced from 24 V with separate down-switching regulators, each with its own transformer and optocoupler for the control. As expected, no interactions were observed between the connected pedals during the test, and no rumble loops or other disturbances occurred, provided the guitar is grounded. Otherwise, the usual interferences may occur.
I can recommend the Ojai to 100% for people who value a disturbing signal, want to supply many current-hungry digital pedals and have little space on the pedalboard. That must then be something which cost ...
However, there are also cheaper solutions such as the Mooer MicroPower, which has 8 outputs with 9V = 300 mA and is supplied with a 12 Volt switching power supply. This has no galvanically isolated outputs, but 8 independent linear regulators and works almost as well with the Strymon pedals, which require 250 mA supply, and for half the price. However, with the Mooer, the minus poles of all outputs are connected to one another. This is why humming loops and, especially with Strymon effect devices, a light high-pitched whistle are not completely excluded.
