M
finally THE MIDI cable
Marco_erre 14.11.2019
i juggle with midi and midi cables since 15 years and this is the most useful and surely definitive solution for cable management.
no ONE midi device has the midi plugs in the same mounting direction, so when you get a L cable bear in mind you are just lucky if the L goes the way you want.
straight midi plugs need a lot of real estate , and in a pedalboard you can be out of that space quickly. this is genial, you can plug the cable and just turn it the way you need it to go (obviously in the two direction possible, up or down, or left or right , depending how the midi plug on your device is mounted)

the best midi cable i foud until today. the only thing better would be a rotating cable-bender like the one mounted on this but 360 degree. that would be priceless.

Greate space, saver, but ...
Cranio 11.04.2023
This MIDI cable has a couple of interesting characteristics that make it suitable for pedalboards in particular:
- the cable profile is flat and not round, allowing for more precise cable routing
- the angle of the connector can be varied

This comes tho with some caveats:
- the connector and it's pivots are from cheap plastic, it's very easy to break them
- before buying, you will have to verify if the angle is ok with you (i.e. this cable will bend vertically above or below the MIDI socket but maybe you might find cable that are angled laterally more comfortable)
- unscrew/screew the plastic holder frame to rotate, you can rotate the connector also without but you'll put unnecessary stress on the cable

Keep your cables under your board
DimKoski 10.11.2020
Very helpfull construction, allows you to set an angle connector the way it fits with your pedal's midi ports. No matter if the pins of your device are in "smile" or "eye brow" shape, you can turn the connectors to any direction you like, by using a screw driver. In this way,not only you keep a clean board, but you also ensure that your connectors will live forever. For the midi users it's a must!

not great at all
mindburner 07.08.2020
This lead is really stiff and hard to insert into a MIDI socket. The ends of the screws come though the bolts and dig into your hands when inserting the plug. After a few weeks the outer plastic comes off to reveal a cheap glued interior. The lead may be ok for a one off job and then leave, but if you need to unplug it regularly then you will have sore fingers. It's on of the worst I have used in a studio of over 30 vintage synths.

Pro - it can bend
cons - it's badly finished, rough to use
