I've added this pickup to my Fender Stratocaster in bridge position. Replacing the Fender standard one.
The result is very impressive !
Two reasons for doing this change:
- I mainly used to play my Strat in positions 5-4-3 (neck and middle combinaisons), so bridge pickup was less use.
- Sometimes on stage it is difficult to have enough room for : mandolin+folk guitar+Strat+Epipone Les Paul, so I wondered if I could have only three instruments on stage.
The sound I've got with this Humbucker pickup is near to my Les Paul in bridge position.
There is a large choice of single-coil sized humbucker pickups, several brands, but having listened to some of them and after having read some blogs the choice of this SD JB Jr was prefered.
