Hallo,

ich habe mir das Soloist gekauft da ich ein eher klassisches mpc für mein Alto gesucht habe.
Das Mundstück ist sauber verarbeitet und spricht gut an, mit meinen normalen Blättern war direkt der kpl. Tonumfang spielbar.
Die fehlende Blattschraube war für mich kein Thema da ich eine Schraube vom mitgelieferten Mundstück ungenutzt in der Ecke liegen hatte.

Wie sieht es mit dem Klang aus?
Ich nutze das Soloist an einem Selmer Alt welches eher einen nostalgischen Sound hat. Hier harmoniert das mpc wunderbar, es gibt keine Ausreißer und die Intonation stimmt auch.

Was aber zu beachten ist. Die Vergleichstabellen sagen für das Soloist E eine Öffnung von 2mm voraus, das mpc hat aber nur 1,85mm

Eine Rückfrage bei Selmer hat ergeben dass die 1,85mm korrekt sind.

Bin mit dem Mundstück Top zu frieden. Es hat einen sehr neutralen (klaren) Sound, der mit "universal" durchaus seine Berechtigung findet.

In Verbindung mit Rico 2S Select Jazz Unfiled Alto für mich, als Spieler mit vermutlich unterdurchschnittlich entwickelten Luftvolumen einfach nur Klasse!

Achtung: Das Mundstück (immer Type E) gibt es mit 2 Bahnöffnung.

Ich hatte es erst mit einer 1.85mm Bahnöffnung bekommen und dann mit 2.00mm nachbestellt, was durch den super Thomannservice problemlos möglich war - besten Dank dafür!
