I was surpirised :)

My copy seems very good. It’s light! No flaws in finish, no sharp frets, action came down easily with light cut at the nut and shave of bridge, after truss set. Haven’t needed to file frets yet. The outside string widths at nut and bridge, and scale are identical to Martin 000-15sm, but the neck is thicker, like a Chinese Guild and also a bit wider than the Martin, with less angle. The lighter matte neck is a contrast to the darker gloss body, perhaps distracting to some, but build quality seems high. Tuners are fine. As others note, this is not a dull guitar. It’s loud, but still woody. It’s louder than my Martin, though a little smaller. Very happy, thank you!

I love it so much.

I was struggling greatly to find a guitar I WANTED to buy, I found many with reviews singing their praises, but none of them really felt right, eventually I stumbled across this video by Paul Davids, a beautiful custom guitar, and I immediately fell in love with it, the sound, the size, and the looks had me entranced. Unfortunately I cannot afford a 7000 dollar guitar at 16 years old, so I went trying to find the closest thing I could to that guitar, I spent many hours sifting through parlor guitars, STILL nothing felt right, until I stumbled across this guitar, unlike all the others, there were only a few reviews I could find about this guitar, and that really scared me, as I am fairly uneducated when it comes to guitars, but as I kept trying to research about other guitars and such, the P-65 kept calling to me, I loved everything about it, the perfect size, was just within my price range, the sound demos, and obviously the GORGEOUS headstock, I eventually gave in and bought it. It arrived around a week later and it did not disappoint, it was just as gorgeous as it looked and sounded on the website, it’s perfect for fingerpicking, I learnt anything by Adrianne Lenker, and despite my novice skills it sounded beautiful, Great for recording too, I used a Shure-sm57, and it sounded just how I wanted it to. Remember to take everything I say with a grain of salt 😅 as my comparison for acoustic guitars quality is my old 60£ one which has been through hell and back. In conclusion, This guitar turned what was a very stressful experience (trying to find the right guitar to buy) and turned it into one of the happiest purchases I’ve ever made. Thank you Thomann for bringing this guitar into my life.
