In contrast to the single contact point of a standard mono jack socket, the Pure Tone socket has two contact points each for the tip (positive pole) and the sleeve (negative pole)
Features a 100 per cent larger surface area at all contact points for an improved audio signal and a firm hold, even after heavy use

The output jack on many lower cost guitars and basses is often not up to the job and can fail at the most inconvenient time resulting in the signal cutting out or stuttering. The pure tone jack is simple to fit to replace a cheap output jack and once fitted it enables the instrument to be played with confidence that it will not fail.
