I’m not really a fan of Harley Benton products overall, and this Copper Shielding Tape didn’t change my mind. When I ordered it, I expected a large roll that would be enough to do a proper shielding job on a guitar body or pickguard. Unfortunately, the roll is actually very small — roughly the size of a two euro coin — which was pretty disappointing.
Because of the small amount of tape you get, you’d need to buy multiple rolls just to shield a full guitar body or even a standard pickguard properly. That makes it less practical and more expensive than I initially thought. The quality of the tape itself seems okay for basic shielding purposes, but nothing about it stands out as particularly durable or easy to work with.
Overall, if you’re planning a full shielding job, this isn’t the most convenient option, and I can’t really recommend it. It might work for small touch-ups or very limited use, but for anything bigger, you’ll quickly find yourself needing more than one roll — which adds up. If you’re set on trying this, just be prepared for that.
