For the price not to despise
I have a project studio and no running studios, where every day needs to be patched. Apart from this, almost everything happens in the computer nowadays. The Patchbay supplies me with the line-outs (to the headphones for the monitoring) and line-ins of my converter, so that I after the recording synonymous analog equipment, be fixed or borrowed in the studio for the mix.
This Patchbay is not to be compared with a TT Patchbay: The plugging is somewhat more spasmodic in some places. The individual modules of the patchbay, which can be rotated for normalization changes, are sometimes somewhat wobbly. The included cables should be quickly used on the P tray or for headphones where shielding plays a secondary role.
But its purpose is in any case fulfilled: for the pair of patchwork patches you have, this Patchbay is outstanding. Symmetrical, semi-normalized (ideal for splits), the materials are good. For this purpose, there are adhesive tapes for labeling and obtaining an overview.
If you just have to patch something sometimes and do not want to crawl behind your devices, I can recommend this patchbay! A few symmetrical logs to it and good!
For me, the argument for this patchbay was the fact that I had the eternal pluggings and the cable chaos fed up. Neutrik should be because of the well-known and praised quality of the connectors.
Since I have organized my stuff anyway in the rack and change over to a mixer, an HD recorder and occasionally to route into a looper is this a fine tool with which I can assign an input two outputs.
The extent to which the work can be made easier can be learned only when several parts have to send their signals in different directions. For me, this is a sampling system in the computer, a drummachine, various synths and microphones. Very helpful is here also the possibility to label the Patchbay. You may not lose the orientation from a certain number of inserted devices, but if you had to spend a few days the musical job.
For everyone to bring the order into the studio day, this is an investment the overview provided, tripping is prevented and rapid work supported. Not a bargain but a quality helper with educational potential ;-)
