Really Good System
howardjworf@aol.com 05.02.2023
I'll update this review in a few week's time when I have used them for longer. I have an AKG wireless system, one with a receiver box that sits on the amp, but I wanted a more portable system for rehearsals. These are superb IMO. I've used them with active basses and passive guitars. They feel really well made, are very easy to use, and although I cannot yet speak for the battery life I have used them for 3 hour rehearsals and occasional use in between before recharging. Later - I have now established that the battery life for me exceeds 6 hours. More than enough. I plug the receiver unit into the input of my multi effects pedal and then cable to the amplifier. So even though the receiver is on the floor I haven't had any dropouts. The sound is to my ears indistinguishable from using a cable. The fact that the unit has an external aerial and that it can be angled as desired probably helps a lot. I'm thinking of buying another set.

I am very pleased

All the low-budget ones looked very similar, but these ones stood out - they had a frequency different from 2.4 kHz, which means they won't conflict with Wi-Fi, and they also use a Type-C connector for charging, which is much more modern than the micro-USB (or even mini-USB) of most others.
I use them with a bass guitar at rehearsals and concerts for 9 month.

Pros:
- The sound quality is very decent. I'm not sure I can tell the difference even with headphones, let alone concerts. No interference from other devices.
- The battery life surprises me - I haven't measured it, but it feels like it's about 5 hours. Most often, it's enough for 2 rehearsals of 2 hours, but they usually run out on the third one. And the unit that's plugged into the guitar always runs out first. I also haven't measured how long it takes to charge, I think it's about 1 hour.
- It has an interesting function when you can use 1 transmitter for several receivers - for example, output sound to several amplifiers without unnecessary switching, or record sound to an audio card in parallel with the sound output. I did not use this, but it is better to have such a function than not to have it. Most other transmitters do not have this.

Cons:
- Color. The color itself is beautiful, but I would prefer to use black blocks, which are available in China, but here you can only buy white and green.
- The bending point is quite mobile, so when connecting from the side, it will go down and this does not look very aesthetic. Fortunately, I came up with the idea of hooking the wire to the bridge of my headless bass - it is convenient. Otherwise, I do not know what I would do.
- The connection can be lost for a couple of seconds, but this happens rarely, literally once every few hours. It is not critical, since this is a fairly cheap device, and not a professional one, so I cannot demand much from it.

As I wrote in the title - I am very pleased with this device. I don't see any alternatives to it even for twice the price. If I were to change it, it would only be for a black version of the device.
