MIDI Solutions Pedal Controller.

Philip8593, 28.10.2015
This is a very adaptable little unit enabling any standard volume pedal to be used to send many different types of MIDI messages to expanders etc. The software is a free download and programming is very easy, you simply choose the function you want and the program converts it into MIDI code, then load it into the box, brilliant.

Pedal to MIDI, the (or the) second!

20.08.2016
This is actually the essential thing said:
I buy the thing now for the second time, because the brand name is actually program - the products of MIDI Solutions SOLVE MIDI problems! Really, durable, good and easy! The only downside: this luxury can be afforded! 133? For such a little electronics is already a proud price, I think, and there's a star print. But technically the thing is top and I am happy to be able to afford it! ;O)

Box No. 1 had to, because on my Novation Impulse Controller keyboard (in principle a nice part) the input for the expression pedal is not programmable and only MIDI controller 11 sends. But that's ALWAYS! This could not be matched with my plans for this pedal at all (the product manager was fired !!!): So there had to be another way of communication for the pedal, and then I came across this part But I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it, Please click on the link below.

Before short, I have now enjoyed the wonderful piano emulation Pianoteq 5, the 'dynamic' damper pedal supports. Unfortunately, the pedal on my solid but ancient Yamaha piano can only be "on / off". So I bought the half pedal pedal Roland DP 10-pedal, my existing pedal to MIDI re-progammed and try it - it worked out in the first run! And the order for Pedal to MIDI No. 2 is out! :O)

A tip for the application:
Since the part does not have its own power supply, it needs power from one of the MIDI connections to which it is connected. "Actually", ie in normal operation, this works both via the MIDI In and via the MIDI Out. However, I have found that the programming only works when the power comes through MIDI In. In other words, you need a MIDI interface at the computer to provide it with its output current! In my case: iO4 by Alesis works, Novation Impulse does not work.
