This angry egg kicked all the green pigs!
I'll go right to the point. I bought one just to try it out. The sound is clear, loud and crunchy. You can affect the sound depending on how many of those holes you cover with your hands; the way your palm lays on it and the pressure that you apply. A HUGE pro was when I introduced this gem in a studio session. The audio engineer said that the egg on steroids really made the difference since it cut thru the mix. I'm looking forward to add some more of this beautiful angry egg to my percussion set/arsenal. Do yourself a favor and buy more than one!

The king of the eggs.
I bought a couple of these ones, there is much more what you can do if you get two of them, using one as the bass and the other as a quinto. Great idea, this is the best egg shaker you can get, you can affect the sound depending on how many of those holes you cover with your hands. I use these eggs with my looper, its a cool adition to any drums, maracas, guitar. It is also a great idea to have and carry with you, you can handle them to your friends, let's say you have a home party, a picknick and you bring your guitar to play something for your friends, you can handle these eggs to some of your friends to compain you, it is so simple, they would be glad about it. You can as well grab both of them in one hand easily while playing some simple conga pathern with the other hand.
P.S. If ordering from outside Europe, UPS is the best choice.
Thanks, Thomman team for always answering every question, dispatching super fast, amazing customer service. It is Thomman customer service why I would always choose Thomman from other music stores.

Truly New Sound
It doesn't look like much, but it really excels in creating various sounds. It is very dynamical and you can get a number of sounds out of it. Not that much as from a, say, Saragosa metal shaker, but then it doesn't cost all that much. A must if you want to be versatile.

Good Shaker!
This is a good quality, tough plastic shaker. The sound is "crunchy" and quite brash (not a soft sound) but that's supposed to be the sound, and it's good! A strong item, and its nice to change the sound by opening/closing hand.

As its elder brother, the large aluminium shaker, this little egg produces very interesting and dynamic sounds too, but with different effects rather crunchy. But holding it in a closed palm position, muted and softer tones can be created easily. A great purchase so far. Thank you Meinl and Thomann!
